John Embiricos Talks About Global Eco Rescue

About GER

Global Eco Rescue aims to protect our planet and prevent our mass extinction.  We believe this requires placing a price tag on the benefits we enjoy from Nature. Specifically, we are helping to drive the global movement to integrate capital markets with carbon credits - generated from projects that avoid deforestation. What drives us? The old Native American proverb: “We do not inherit the earth from our ancestors, we borrow it from our children.” Our belief is also summed in the phrase: “Don’t blow it - good planets are hard to find.”

Beyond highlighting threats to our planet, we aim to find solutions - by working with both private and public sectors, as well as everyday people. Welcome to our video website. Here we illustrate problems and suggest answers - by introducing you to people who are on the front line - and telling their stories. As the saying goes, a picture says 1000 words, and a story says 1000 pictures.

We believe one of the greatest challenges facing humanity is whether capital markets can respond to climate change and threats to our environment by appropriately valuing ecosystems.

Global Eco Rescue (aka GER) is well positioned to help capital markets meet this historic challenge. Our current efforts are focused on the valuation of avoided deforestation projects and related carbon credits by capital markets. In addition to forestry carbon credits,

GER is undertaking research on models for the market valuation of other eco-system services such as watershed and biodiversity. GER is dedicated to protecting all related ecosystems and pioneering in the development of credits for ecosystem services. For details, please visit http://www.eco-rescue.com
